Thomas and Julie Knowles, our founders, began a school for the arts and humanities in 1994. Their vision and mission provided excellence in training in our region for more than 30 years. The Collierville Arts Academy was opened in 2004 and offers students of all ages and skill levels training in classical ballet, pointe, variations, pas de deux, jazz and contemporary dance, tap, musical theatre, fine arts, music, martial arts, the sport of fencing and much more. The Collierville Arts Academy program areas have expanded to include academic tutorial services as well. In our studios you will find diverse and enthusiastic students from a variety of countries that all share similar interests. We are a community of individual artists and athletes that are seeking to be the very best version of ourselves. We accomplish our goals through hard work, dedication, and commitment.

Collierville Arts Academy instructors offer our students the highest quality training methods and provide measurable steps toward attaining their goals.
Our classical ballet instructors use a codified dance training syllabus that includes the Royal Academy of Dance Vaganova, & Cecchetti methods that produces a versatile and confident ballet artist. Our jazz, tap, and musical theatre instructors use a unique blending of the Gus Giordano Jazz syllabus, the Dance Masters of America syllabi, and real-world experience from the stage to develop dynamic, talented and entertaining multi-talented dance artists that are ready to pursue dance at the collegiate, university, and professional levels.
Our unique martial arts training curriculum includes: Shotokan Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, Aikido, Kickboxing, and BattleMasters Padded Weapons. We offer on-going self-defense training, skill demonstrations, and regular awards and belt testing for all ages and skill levels in the martial arts.
Our Olympic-style fencing training program offers instruction for the novice through the world-class levels of the sport. We are home to local, state, regional and Jr Olympic level champions.
