How do I create an account? Simply go here to create an account. Add yourself as the parent/guardian and then add any students to the account with the proper birthdate so you will see the age-appropriate courses. It's free and easy!
How do I know what class my student belongs in at Collierville Arts Academy? When you register your student, please be certain you use their correct birthdate so our online system will present you with all of the correct class options in all of our program areas. If you are a beginning level student, then you would look for Absolute Beg. or Beginning Level Descriptions. Keep in mind we offer classes for Intermediate and Advanced Levels also. For students with previous experience, we ask that you call our office to arrange for a free placement class with one of our instructors to be certain you are registering for the correct class level etc.
How long are the classes and how long is the season? Our classes will range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours in length depending upon the age of the students and level of instruction. Collierville Arts Academy operates year-round; we offer seasonal and short courses. Our regular season is similar to an academic year and runs August through May. During the months of June and July we offer a separate Summer Session.
How do I enroll for a class? Enrollment for new students and returning students can be completed online or in-person. To register and enroll online, you can begin by creating your free account through our automated online system.
How do I pay my tuition or fees? When you decide to register for a class, our automated front desk management system allows you to select payment options: Season tuition is paid in ten (10) monthly installments. Short-Courses, Workshops, and Summer Camps have flat one-time rates. Collierville Arts Academy offers generous tuition discounts for multiple family members and multiple classes. All monthly tuition installments are due before the 7th of the month. We encourage auto-pay setup to avoid a late payment fee for payments made after the 7th of the month. We accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards for tuition payments. Tuition is non-refundable for any reason - please see your Academy Guidebook in your account portal for more details regarding tuition and/or fees.
Are there any other expenses outside of tuition? There is an seasonal registration fee of $35 for one student or $55 for an entire family. This fee is non-refundable for any reason.
Additional Fees For Dance Students:
Our Spring Showcase Performer Fee is $75 and includes 2 free tickets to the performance, Showcase Performance Keepsake Video, Keepsake Program, and Showcase Award. Costume Fees range from $55 to $75 for pre-professional level costumes. Our performers who appear in several dance pieces often will be able to used costume rented for performance and rental fees range from $30-50 for excellent, high-end pre-professional and professional level costumes.
Additional Fees For Other Program Areas:
Students in other program areas have the option of participating in tournaments, recitals, demonstration events which may or may not have fees associated with them. A faculty member can explain the fees for these events over the phone or in person if they are not shown in your registration information online.
What should my student wear to class? All of our classes have required dress codes. This ensures that our students receive the best possible instruction, minimize injury, increase focus, and develop a strong sense of self-confidence and studio unity.
Please note: Dance students should have hair secured in a neat bun for all ballet classes (ponytails are permitted for our contemporary, jazz & tap classes). More information about our dress code can be found here.
Where can I purchase my student's dress code? Everything your student will need for their class dress code can be purchased through our in-studio boutique and through our online store. We carry a large inventory in stock all year.
Can my student try out a class before enrolling? Yes, we offer a complimentary visit class for new students in many of our program areas. We also offer one-time Let's Visit Classes for a small fee to cover materials costs for fine arts etc. Please call our office at 901-861-7001 to arrange your visit.
I missed fall registration, can I still enroll? Yes, we accept new students when we have spaces available in a class. Please call our studio office at 901-861-7001 to inquire about enrollment.
What if I have to quit or withdraw from a class early? Sometimes there is a need for a student to withdraw from a class before the end of a full season. To withdraw from the Academy, you will need to submit to our office a 30-day advance written notice (please use the Early Withdrawal Form In Your Online Account Portal) along with your final payment of one monthly tuition installment. Our bookkeeping and accounting service will process your Early Withdrawal Notice and send you an email confirmation of your account closure. Your account is not closed until you receive this email confirmation notice. Please note: All tuition and fees paid for classes, events, & performances are non-refundable for any reason.
Can I observe classes? Yes, we have an 'open door' policy for parents to observe all of our classes at any time. We have closed circuit camera systems recording 24/7 in all of our studio spaces, so you can sit in the lobby and observe class too.
Do you offer classes for adults too? Yes! We have students of all ages at Collierville Arts Academy. We offer classes for all ages at all skill levels in dance, martial arts, fencing, fine arts, and music.
