MUSIC LESSONS: FAQs
How do I schedule a free interview appointment at Collierville Arts Academy? Both absolute beginner students and experienced students just call our office at 901-861-7001 and ask to arrange your free interview class with a music teacher.
How long is the music lessons 'season'? Our music lessons do not have a 'season' but are scheduled as appointments each month with a specific instructor. These appointments will continue on our automated scheduling system until a change to the appointment is made by the music instructor. Students must give our office 30-days notice with payment to discontinue lessons with a music instructor.
How do I enroll for music lessons? Once you have completed your free interview music lesson and you have decided to continue with instruction, you will be given a standing music lesson appointment time each week on the same day/time with the instructor of your choice. All private music lesson monthly payment installments are paid monthly. Multiple student discounts may be offered to members of the same family. Our instructors can go over fee structure with you at your interview lesson.
How do I pay my music lesson tuition? When you decide to enroll for music lessons, our automated front desk management system allows you to select monthly payment option for your music lessons. All monthly tuition installments are due before the 7th of the month to avoid a late fee. We encourage auto-pay setup to avoid a late payment fee. We accept cash, checks, credit and debit cards for tuition payments.
Are there any other expenses outside of the tuition? There is an annual CAA registration fee of $30 for one student or $50 for an entire family that covers all of our program areas. Students will need to purchase their own music books or sheet music as needed. Our instructors will also offer advice in selecting the right instrument for each student too. The cost of instrument varies. We offer an informal music open house experience in the fall and a quality music recital each spring. Both of these activities are optional and do not have any fees associated with participating in them.
I missed fall registration, can I still enroll? Yes, we accept new students for music lessons year round. Please call our studio office at 901-861-7001 to inquire.
Can I observe class? Yes, we have an 'open door' policy for parents to observe all of our classes at any time. We have closed circuit camera systems recording 24/7 in all of our studio spaces including our music lesson rooms, so you can sit in the lobby and observe class too.
